Firefighter Membership
applicant
After attending your first business meeting with the department, you will begin the application process. During this first month, you may be interviewed by a panel, and an executive board member will contact your references. Applicants may not participate in hands-on trainings, but are invited and encouraged to attend training.
recruit
As a recruit, you will be places in a recruit class provided by deportment instructors. This phase of membership can last anywhere from 2 months, to a maximum of 6 months, All recruits will be provided the necessary training to be able to make emergency runs.
Probationary
After the applicant attends the first business meeting, he or she will be eligible for promotion to probationary status after completion of required training. At that point, probationary firefighters are allowed to respond to calls with the department. All necessary equipment will be supplied by the department.
Full Membership
Full membership to the department is viable after attending three additional business meetings as a probationary firefighter. Once granted, full membership allows full participation with the department.
